FORAY INTO FANTASY PODCAST

Series 2, episode 11

We recorded this week's podcast back in July at Waterstones, in Birmingham. As you'll find out in the intro, Steve Aryan mentioned that he knew a few fantasy authors who were doing an event in Birmingham, and that they might be up for a podcast. Happily, they were.

WARNING: A lot of the sound on this podcast is laughter, because we were having a really good time. If you're not a fan of laughter, do not listen.

Running time: 64.59

Jen Williams is the author of The Copper Cat trilogy. She's had stories published in numerous anthologies and was nominated for Best Newcomer at the 2015 British Fantasy Awards. As well as being one half of the brains behind the Super Relaxed Fantasy Club (look right for the other half), she is also in a running dispute with Peter Newman (look righter). About what exactly would seem to be irrelevant.

Den Patrick is the author of The Erebus Sequence and The War-Fighting Manuals. As well as featuring in numerous anthologies and being a guest lecturer on Brunel University's Creative Writing course, he is currently writing a 'free style science fiction' novel.  Den is also one half of the brains behind the Super Relaxed Fantasy Club (look left for the other half). To the best of our knowledge, Den is not currently involved in a running dispute with either Jen or Peter.

Peter Newman is the author of The Vagrant and The Malice. He is the 2016 recipient of the David Gemmell Morningstar Award for Best Fantasy Debut (The Vagrant). Peter also wrote Landfall, a book set in the world of the online game, Albion. Despite being a successful author, Peter also dabbles in butlery, for the award winning Tea and Jeopardy podcast. Rumours persist of a running dispute with Jen Williams (look lefter).
